That sums everything up. Zero tolerance is the phrase used to describe the current navy policy on drug usage. Navy zero tolerance in not actually even their policy though, it sounds politically correct though. The term zero tolerance actually means that a person who has a positive urinalysis (or other drug charges) has to have a administrative review board held. In this board they decide weather or not they want to keep people in the military or discharge them. Many people have used illicit drugs and not been discharged by the navy zero tolerance policy.
This navy zero tolerance policy is yet one more of many methods of selective enforcement of the law that allows corruption to feed off itself. I for example, never used drugs before I joined the navy. After years of suicidal behavior any psychological damage, I informed others of blacked out drug usage while still blacked out drunk. My navy chain of command so believed in themselves that they had to destroy their own records of my work performance before they could process me. Anyone who looks through my service records will see that not all of my evals are there. Some of my navy service record was destroyed as my captain was and is a liar. I have zero tolerance for this type of behavior and so I am bringing it to light. If you have a drug problem in the military you owe it to yourself to lock in all benefits and get out of the military the right way. You should have zero tolerance for the navy zero tolerance program.
