The issue of submarine medical care is one that I have little negatives to say about. If nothing else, this should show that my goal is to inform, and not to misrepresent as millions of dollars of advertising do. Many people complain about this issue because it is such a hard lifestyle, and many people get hurt. The doctors can rarely be to blame for this.

The submarine medical care primarily rests in the hands of a single independent duty corpsman. While I believe that qualifications alone are not enough to do anything, I have seen multiple situations where the boats doc was put in a situation to make a call that impacted the entire ship and its ability to perform its mission. The boats doc was not afraid to make the call. Granted, if he is wrong in identifying a problem, at his sole discretion the person may be killed. Like I said, medical care onboard the submarine is not a problem in my eyes.
