While I was in restriction for a couple of months a friend of mine named John spat an idea at me. He is real fun in that he understands my attempts at humor. He is the guy on the right in the picture of the two kids eating ice cream. He said he loved my destruction poem. I really do not much like the last two lines of the destruction poem, but they were his idea so I added them to the destruction poem.

Destruction Poem

And so this is a drug

innocently it starts without warning or pain

Wednesday a few blinks removed and suddenly years have passed

I become omnipotent as it teaches me everything I need to know

I step back and watch the party

the people dance, smile, and tell satirical jokes, tweaking with no topic at hand

lasers and lights guide them through the arduous night

intrusive imperceptible graffiti paints the walls which crush those who dare escape

growing tired and lonely they recommit to a refreshing idealism

understand all are happy because all is well

neither innocent or evil they give their life to their only pleasure

to the grave they sink swim or march

and this drug is the navy

and for it, I have

zero tolerance
