Bird Cage Poem - stuck in a bird cage

I wrote bird cage as the first poem I wrote since creative writing. The only reason I took creative writing is because I failed my only course ever (advanced composition) for cheating... I used my mothers college paper on the effects of antibuses. I had trouble coming up with a topic, started about a week late, and then presto I had a copy ready in no time. I am not sure what really set them off. I had a way different writing style and a much smaller vocabulary than my mother, but copied it nearly verbatim. I also upgraded the few mistakes in her A college paper. All my resources were old too. Thanks mom for the good idea... They still can't prove I did it, unless they print this out. Birdcage was the only poem I wrote on my first med run.

I have not a care in the world, as the world for I

free as a bird, locked in a cage

I see the sun, but am afraid

I look back to my bleak black hole

home, all I know

ashamed I sit and write, continuing on this loosing fight

I count the days as they pass, just wishing

wishing for my last

onward in time I go

without reason, likely so
