Moon Colonist

Welcome to the moon base. One of the captains from my former boat was from Texas, and proud of it. I have nothing against Texas, but I don't really understand the proud of it thing. I also do not think it is the common Texas man who pulls that proud garbage. Dumb people who are ostracize from society go to Texas or claim it hoping for a new start. The poor Texans get a bad rap from these people who are too dumb to know where they come from. Take for example, one ignorant captain from Oklahoma, loves Texas and claims it, but we both realize neither state claims him, and that is why he became a moon Colonist To call him an intelligent man would be a miscue. He frequently wanted to shut the boat off from outsiders, have everyone come in, and give them horrible stories about how the boat would soon be going to sea for an undetermined time on some highly important mission of national security. We would get scared for nothing as he would only be telling us his ideas, which had little or nothing to do with reality.

Each time a person would qualify the CO would read to us like we were in third grade from his favorite book, Thunder Below, as if it were scripture. I was not on the Barb, and even if it is a good story I feel great shame from hearing in that awful voice. I found his fervor ridiculous and do not much believe in either. Nobody can live on the moon base forever, not even a moon colonists. If you find yourself in a similar situation, I would like to remind you that 3 years locks in benefits, and it is up to you to get full military benefits.
