The one fundametal flaw with this tic tac toe program is that you can beat it every time. I do not know if that is really a flaw since we all want to win, especially at someting as trivial as tic tac toe. Here is my 4 step program for winning at this tic tac toe game. Please note: this does not work on real people or a greatly scripted program every time, in fact it almost never does.

Tic Tac Toe step one: take the center square. This is not just a good rule for this broken script, but is good general logic in any tic tac toe game as it gives you the most possible combinations and choices to win at tic tac toe. You can possibly use either diagnal or either center cross strip.
Tic Tac Toe step two: the computer will counter by taking the upper left square. You then take the tic tac toe square opposite he does. One he places his "o" in the upper left square, you place your "x" in the lower right square.
Tic Tac Toe step three: If he were agressive he would take either of the remaining corner squares. This is where the tic tac toe script is messed up. For no apparent reason he slides an "o" in the middle right square. You now have total control of the tic tac toe board. You can place an "x" in the lower left square. This now leaves 2 winning options open.
Tic Tac Toe step four: He will block the upper right line with his "o." This will leave the bottom center square open and you will be able to win tic tac toe.

I think it is funny to speak of this as if I am giving chess lessons when in all actuallity it is a broken tic tac toe script you are playing. I know that means I am lambe. I am also well aware that I could download a better script, but I would rather win my tic tac toe games every time. Thanks ... and good luck!
